Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps taken by Switch Energy Network Ltd during the financial year to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.

Our Supply Chains

Our supply chains include technology partners, infrastructure contractors, and professional service providers. We continue to assess risk across our supply chain, especially among subcontractors and hardware vendors.

Governance and Policies

In the 2023–2024 financial year, we maintained and enforced several internal policies to combat modern slavery:
- Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
- Supplier Code of Conduct
- Recruitment and Onboarding Policy

Responsibility for policy implementation lies with senior leadership and compliance teams.

Due Diligence Processes

We performed due diligence on all new suppliers, ensuring compliance with our ethical sourcing standards. This included:
- Modern slavery risk assessments
- Supplier questionnaires
- Contractual commitments on anti-slavery

We reviewed 6 suppliers in this period, and no significant risks were identified.

Training and Awareness

Training was provided to relevant staff, covering:
- Recognising signs of modern slavery
- Reporting concerns through our whistleblowing channels

26 employees were trained in this period.

We tracked key indicators such as:
- % of new suppliers vetted for modern slavery
- Number of staff trained
- Number of issues identified (0)

Compared to the previous year, we maintained a consistent focus with slight improvements in supplier onboarding practices.
